ip1800 Printer Setup

How to install your printer:

1. Turn OFF your printer.
2. DISCONNECT it from the computer.
3. Switch user as instructed.

4. Press the Windows Key, then type "terminal". Double click on the "Terminal" icon as below:

   

5. You will see a window like this pop up:

   
6. Click in the window so you can type.

7. Copy and paste this line into Terminal:

   sudo apt-add-repository ppa:michael-gruz/canon

8. Copy and paste this line into Terminal:

   sudo apt-get update

9. Now copy and paste this line into Terminal:

   sudo apt-get install cnijfilter-ip1800series

10. CONNECT your printer to the computer.
11. Turn your printer ON.
12. Printer driver should say that it's installing.
